Crickhowell Rugby Club Mini and Junior Section is starting weekly training from Tuesday 13th August at 6pm, at our grounds at Parc Boyd. We will be focusing on the Under 7s, 8s, 9s, 10’s and 11’s as we have had interest from those age groups. However, if you have children in different age groups who would like to play Rugby with Crickhowell, please contact us to let us know. We are keen to run any age groups for which there is demand. We will also be running U12 pre-season Training in conjunction with the High School on Thursday evenings, again 6-7pm, throughout August, and your children are welcome to attend that even if they are not going to Crickhowell HS.
We want to create a new local opportunity for children to try rugby, and if they like it, to help them develop their skills. We are starting with Under 7s and 8s Tag teams, while Under 9’s will play Tag and gently be introduced to contact rugby. Pre-under 7’s are welcome to come along and play with the Under 7’s, or just join in when and with what they are comfortable. If you would be interested in helping us run this, please contact us to discuss.
