Crickhowell Rugby Football Club is a grassroots rugby club situated at the gateway to the Brecon Beacons in rural mid Wales.
The first recorded game of rugby in Crickhowell was in 1881 and throughout all of that time, the club has never owned its own sports pavilion. The club is in desperate need of a sports pavilionin order to progress it's plans for mini and junior rugby teams, to host visiting teams and supporters and also help to generate a modest amount of revenue to help with the club's upkeep.
The club are also keen that it can also be used by the local community and enable local groups and societies to make use of the facilities if they so wish.
In order to make this, we would like to raise £30,000 to purchase a wooden sports pavilion which will be situated at our rugby ground. In order to do this, we would like to ask all of our supporters and players both past and present whether they would consider becoming trustees of the new clubhouse by donating £100 to the fund. As a trustee, your name will be permanently displayed in the new clubhouse and you will be invited to all home games where you will be treated like Crickhowell RFC royalty and given a warm welcome at thenew clubhouse.
We are all really excited at the prospect of our little rugby club having its own permanent home and it could really help cement the club's future going forward and help us to start our own mini rugby section.

UPDATE February 2019

The current total after just 18 months of fundraising stands at £13,172.35 - we're almost half way there - a brilliant achievement in a short timescale! Thanks to all who have donated money or organised fundraisers to date. We have some more fundraisers planned for 2019 and if anyone would like to organise one themselves, please let me know so that we can drum up some support. Alternatively if you'd prefer to make a donation, please contact Mark Cule and he will provide you with the relevant bank details. Thanks again!
